About Me
My experience
In 2010 i began working with a landscaping company in Melbourne where i began my apprenticeship in Landscaping. I moved to Mansfield with my family in 2014 and I’ve been working as a trusted Mansfield and surrounds gardener since 2015. I've completed online studies in areas such as basic ecology, soil management, plant maintenance, nature park design, weed management, pest and disease management, culture of indigenous plants, tree management, turf care and rehabilitation of degraded landscapes.
I'm proudly the maintenance manager of some of Mansfield's and surrounds most beautiful private gardens.
As an in-demand Gardener, I’m committed to three main principles: providing the highest level of service I can, ensuring that my prices remain competitive and affordable and practicing regenerative garden techniques where ever possible. My services
Maintaining new and established gardens, plant pruning and shaping, soil building and soil regeneration including mulching and weed control. Finding a healthy balance between aesthetically pleasing gardens and maintaining the need to conserve natural areas for building biodiversity to encourage native insects and promote organic and sustainable eco systems in the garden. Helping to achieve garden design plans and offering advice both with ornamental and productive gardens including vegetable gardens.
My passion
Sustainable gardening is my passion, I'm constantly learning and educating myself with online studies, podcasts and books focusing on not only gardening but the environment as a whole. I'm incredibly interested in soil health as this is the bones to all my gardens and natural areas that surround us. The research and science into the roles that fungal and bacterial organisms play in soil and the symbiotic relationships between these and plants are very important, building and preserving soils are essential to maintain healthy gardens. Another special interest I have is creating habitat for beneficial insects, these native beneficials not only heIp to pollinate flowering and fruiting plants but many act as predators for problem pests such as aphids. I'm passionate about limiting pesticides, fungicides and herbicides where ever possible and using organic fertilizers in place of synthetic fertilizers.
My goals
Mansfield is rapidly growing with more and more people realizing the beautiful lifestyle that comes with such a beautiful town. I see new estates popping up all the time and it concerns me that we are losing habitat and disturbing carbon filled soils to do this but i hope to be able to help old and new comers create gardens that regenerate the soil and grow diversity better than it was. My focus is helping achieve aesthetically pleasing, productive and environmentally friendly gardens and outdoor living spaces that can be rewarding for all and with minimal ongoing maintenance required.
